Remember during the Bird Flu scare when a program was developed to "draft" medical personnel to work if there was a pandemic.

It got me thinking. If you got the initial "light" first wave H1N1 infection and recovered would you let others/the government know if they asked so you could work the harder, deadlier second wave??

OK, Pote, now that you've had it, has your answer changed?

I would still work it on my own terms.

I don't believe in slavery, or forced servitude unless you are a convicted criminal.

I believe in Civic Responsibility but they aren't going to work me to death.

I can't say for sure that I have "Swine Flu Lite" and I doubt/hope that I won't be needing a diagnosis to determine it.

I'd say NO, it's none of their business.

I'd try to work it on my own terms. Not sure how that will work out though.

I'm pretty impressed with the amount of awareness among State Guard brass regarding flu pandemic. Seems like that is the scenario that keeps coming up in planning.

why is the poll closed ?

There is a time limit of 30 or 45 days or something like that by default.

It was set to time out in 15 days but I was able to edit the time... so I set it to NEVER time out. Pote, since it's your poll if you prefer something different you should be able to edit it but if not let me know and I will.

If there was indeed a draft, the govt could test health care workers for presence of H1N1 antibodies and require those who have the antibodies to work. I sincerely hope it never ever comes to that...

The combination of "Would you reveal your flu status" and "will you volunteer in a pandemic" is one that should be separate opinions..,

Not good poll design.
