OK, so last night it was a slow night. :D I got board and was practicing juggling. My younger brother taught me some basics moves, but I haven't done it in so long so I am pretty much back to square one again. Does anyone know how to juggle? If so, how did you learn?

I was using this video as a guide:

Jut don't start out with knives or running chainsaws. I suggest goslings to start with.

I can juggle a little. Started off using two balls in the crossing pattern to get the idea, like shown in the video.

Juggling is somewhat of an upper body workout. And kind of hard on the neck too, having to look up so much. Notice the guy in the video has well defined biceps. I saw this animation on wikipedia.

I started with this:

If you'll check around you may be able to find juggling clubs where you can juggle with some new friends. That always helps and is a great way to learn new tricks.

You might also look into contact juggling (its the new rage but the acrylic balls are pricey)

I got some racket balls to practice with, they seem to be easier for me to throw and catch. If I stick with this juggling, then I will advance to something better. And by the way, even Penn racket balls are made in China, but that is an entirely different subject. :dramaqueen: Tennis balls are hard to hold on to, they slip out of my hand. The other night, I was practicing with stress balls leftover from a health fair. Hopefully, security didn't notice every time I dropped the ball, and it rolled out into the hallway. He probably thought, "What the hell is she doing?" :D

This lady demonstrates one handed juggling with two balls. I can already see what I am doing wrong here.

I like bean bags or hacky sack balls. When you drop them they don't go anywhere! Tennis Balls and other bouncy balls take off on you and if they touch when you are juggling they tend to bounce away as well.

BTW, you can make your own easily using socks or panty hose. I find the lighter brighter colors work better. They're easier to keep your eye on.
