Four die of cold in Terai
At least four people are reported dead in Rautahat and Mahottari districts due to cold.
Two elderly men died last night in Bishram VDC, Rautahat, due to hyperthermia while an old woman is reported dead in Pipra VDC of the same
district.
Similarly, an inmate in Jaleshwor jail in Mahottari district died Sunday morning due to severe cold. Due to low visibility cause by fog flight services in Nepalgunj were disrupted for hours on Sunday.
With these deaths, the death toll for this winter in Terai due to cold has climbed to 12. People have also been caught by viral fever and pneumonia in the districts because of which local hospitals and clinics are starting to see more crowds. nepalnews.com ia Jan 05 09
