Do you realize what a worst case scenario would do to the price of fuel?

ps: by worst case I only mean if all of them become even minimum hurricanes.
I looks like the last wave is petering out

I don't quite understand what it means.

I don't quite understand what it means.Repeated storms, seperated by short periods of time, will make the refineries and oil platforms extremely unproductive. No one will restart a refinery or return to an offshore drilling paltform if there's even a chance a storm may shut it down again 5 days later.

You have to evacuate the POTENTIAL areas of devastation (a much larger area than the ACTUAL damage areas) ahead of time, along with the costs and problems of shutdown and startup and power grid failures, means little gasoline will be refined.

Prices are set at the margin. Gasoline and distillate stores were already low. It will take weeks for gasoline to get here by ship from Europe.

I'm worried as hell about this.

last I heard, we had 13 refineries/plants shutdown...but I don't have good access to information right now.

Gas has already come down somewhat in price in my area. My usual station dropped twenty cents a gallon two days ago.
