Ah yes, reminds me of when I lived in Philadelphia. I lived in a neighborhood that was considered nice (Rittenhouse Square), and even there I'd hear gunshots all the time at night in the summer. In those days IIRC, there were about 500 murders a year in Philly. So thats more than 1 per day (actually more on weekends than weekdays).
