He was on the Today show earlier. They're going to see what they can do to help him.

Very Obama-like.

Glad he found some help; I was going to drive to Columbus and give him some $$.

They apparently offered him a house along with the job.

Glad he's getting a helping hand. Too bad he has always had the talent, but never the exposure. His life may have been very different.

This is a very cool story! In the 60's and 70's, I used to live about 1 mile north of the intersection where he was discovered (Hudson St. and I-71). It was starting to be a run down area, even back then. Now, it's more like Uzi Alley. I live about 10 miles from there now. The weather man on the morning NBC news show here in Columbus said he knew Ted. Not sure if they worked together in the past, but the weather guy was in radio here in Columbus starting in the late 70's and is only a year or two older than Ted.

This guy has nine kids, nobody has reported by how many women. Let's hope he shares his recent good luck with those he's responsible for.

I wonder if anyone did any background work before they started offering him jobs and houses.

Well, that didn't take long:

Ted Williams Detained by Los Angeles Police
http://www.aolnews.com/2011/01/11/te...ngeles-police/

Seems like he had a little disagreement with his daughter. Both were brought in, calmed down and released.

Renaissance Hollywood Hotel
Sounds like a nice place:

Mid-century modern artwork complements stylish, comfortable furniture. State-of-the-art communications facilities let business travelers stay in touch. And many "green" features help preserve the environment.
