Both of you need to read the article. The Wisconsin DNR (Department of Natural Resources) caught, tagged and released the sturgeon alive and well. It was 240 pounds and 7' 3" long.

No - I'm just a speed reading idiot. I thought ROSS had caught a sturgeon of that vintage. When I reread what he wrote - I clearly misread his post - badly.

I had thought that sturgeon migrate similar to salmon. With those dams up, these have to be some kind that don't migrate, or I am totally wrong about the migration. Any fish experts out there that can clue me in?
