Those may have been the largest number of attending, but JMO, I preferred the concerts back in the 70's. Cal Jam I and II .... All the concerts at the Big A stadium in Anaheim, CA, the LA Coliseum, venues like that. Big concerts but not in the area of half a million or million folks.

And the best of the best IMO were when you could get a chance to enjoy acts just before they hit the really big time in clubs that held a few hundred at best.

There really was more interaction between the bands and their fans.

Even the German Monsters of Rock was so big. There was this huge crowd with big screens halfway. Then you know it's getting to big.
