Massachusetts residents who were buyers of chewing tobacco could receive up to $750 per claim under a class-action lawsuit settlement reached in May.
Claim forms for the $10.25 million settlement of the price-fixing case over “chew,” filed by Massachusetts consumers against U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Co., can now be found online at

It’s the largest cash-back-per-customer settlement for a class-action suit in the history of Massachusetts, according to Robert Bonsignore, the attorney who represented the Massachusetts consumers.
Adults who bought U.S. Smokeless Tobacco’s moist smokeless tobacco products - including Copenhagen and Skoal - in Massachusetts from Jan. 1, 1990, to May 21, 2009, could be eligible for cash payments if they file a claim and sign it under oath by Dec. 31.
