Is the seasonal shot available in your area?
Not here... I was hoping to get it for my kids but it is not happening any time soon. My college ran out, DH's company's clinic is postponed, etc.

I noticed that the Walgreen's flu clinics had been cancelled here in Maryland. Our HMO is still holding them.

LOVELIEST of trees, the cherry now / Is hung with bloom along the bough,
And stands about the woodland ride / Wearing white for Eastertide.
Now, of my threescore years and ten, / Twenty will not come again,
And take from seventy springs a score, / It only leaves me fifty more.
And since to look at things in bloom / Fifty springs are little room,
About the woodlands I will go / To see the cherry hung with snow.

Everybody is short. Vax manufacturers didn't see fit to tell the govt. until Columbus Day that there were manufacturing issues. Damned strain is tough to grow.

We got our seasonal shots a couple of weeks ago, in Virginia. I was up to date on the pneumonia but DH had to get that also. I needed a tetanus shot too.
No word on when the H1N1 will be available and because of our age, we will be last in line to get it. In fact, with all the problems in manufacturing, I'll be very surprised if we ever qualify for that. Which is as it should be.

my child rcv'd both yesterday here in MA. (only one thimerosal-free tho, dammit, and neither of em the mist, which i'd wanted.) while there, the front desk phones rang non-stop and i listened as people were placed on a waiting-list which now extends into December. people sounded angry too! the front-desk folks were complaining they needed an automated phone service but that it likely wouldn't work cuz they'd just keep calling back. i figured we'd better take what we could get for her while available. we were fortunate i'd made the appointment in early Sept. this evening i haven't felt well tho, body aches, etc. and have been dosing every few hours with MMS and...am actually beginning to feel okay again! the stuff tastes disgusting but...at this point, i don't care. feel confident it kills what it's supposed to.

Got seasonal last week, and we still have plenty in the clinic. No H1N1 available, and we're trying to decide if we'd take it anyway. We all got our pneumovaxes too.

Actually after hours on the phone, I found shots at a Minute Clinic 30 minutes away and the 3 kids who had the swine flu in September and I got our seasonal shots. We waited in line for 1 hour and the nurse said they were running out...
The next town over closed its high school until Wednesday-30% of the students are sick with the flu.

The latest tally
Pharmacy
Seasonal Flu
Vaccine Available
Leavenworth Safeway
50 doses
Wenatchee Safeway
200 doses
E.Wenatchee Safeway
Expecting more shots mid-November
Lake Chelan Safeway
Out end of week 10/26
I was just at the Wenatchee Safeway picking up a couple things, and there must have been 40 in line waiting to get the seasonal vax. I have never seen that many people in line here for the seasonal shot.
