Friend is sick again...or still

I have a friend that came down with swine about Nov. 2nd. Driving home from work, she was fine, by the time she pulled in the driveway 10 minutes later, she knew something was terribly wrong. It hit her like a freight train.

She went in and collapsed on the couch and laid there for hours. She made it to her bed where she would remain for a week. Low grade fever,about 101, severe aches, headaches and vomiting and retching until her whole abdomen was sore from heaving...this went on for days, although she couldn't eat.I think she pulled muscles.She had {has} a serious cough as well.

I saw her last week, mid week and she still looked terrible, still coughing and exhausted.

She went back to work finally today....and came back home very sick again.

Ummm you saw her last week? As in you might get it next? How many days since you had the vax? Poor woman it sounds just horrible. She should watch out because my cousin had or has it and has been in the hospital for the last week. I hope your friend gets better soon! Did it spread to the rest of her family?

I think I'm covered with the vax. Her DD had it, but it wasn't too bad.

It amazes me when I hear the stories of HOW FAST it hits some people. Within minutes.

That's pretty classic flu for many people. They're fine & within an hour, sometimes less, they're thinking of looking up the numbers of funerals directors. A bout, especially the 1st 48 hours, CAN be pretty awful.
