Exclamation CNN - gonna be diving shortly into the spill

A CNN reporter is soon to do a dry suit dive into the oil spill with Phillipe Cousteau. Lots of live camera action promised. They're gearing up & getting ready now.

Even for non-CNN fas, this might be fascinating to catch.

I'll yell when they're about to go live.

Default Okay - they're going live

They're running test shots now making sure the camera is working fine. Live picture is up. We were warned the water was very murky because of the confluence of the Mississippi & the Gulf but they'll be swimming around shortly to see what's to be seen.

O.K. I don't have cable.

Maybe they will have some video online later.

Are they finished already or did they abort the dive because of the sharks I saw?

I only saw the live video - no commentary.

They are back on live feed again and getting ready to jump in now.

Must have just been a test videographer down before. I did see at least 2 sharks (black tips I think) during the test dive.

I have been watching that and actually recorded a lot of it because I had to drive DD to work.

The water is murky where it should be crystal clear. Why are people not freaking out about this? I think I will cry if the manatee's start dying.

No & I missed a lot of it. Before the test videographer jumped it, the anchor said it was normal for the water there to be murky due to confluence of the Mississippi & Gulf, currents & tidal effect.

Where exactly did they dive?

There is a lot of cr@p flowing from the delta.

When I was watching it earlier, they were in a spot that was supposed to be crystal clear???? Are they moving around?

They were boating from abandoned rig to abandoned rig looking for a site that let them see & more importantly, let them see if there was anything in the water. I missed most of it - I need to check the website to see if they found anything.
