10:30 PM, 7/21/2010 Going down for hardware upgrade. You may not even notice.
What the title says... in a half hour we're going to be plugging in a new UPS and doing a couple little tweaks. If all goes well you may not even notice.
If you are in process of writing a post, PLEASE save it... or you could lose it when we switch the plugs from one machine to another.
10:30 Eastern time... 30 minutes from when I post this...

The changes were fast. The server booting up, getting all the programs running again, connecting to the internet... blah blah... took a few minutes. All went well.

Thought I felt a wobble in the time/space continuum. SOMETHING made me jump & it couldn't have been the newbie shrieking BINGO!!! at the top of her lungs 6' from my ear.
