Condoms are frequently used in hetro porn flicks, so it already happens all the time. However, when I walk by the gay section, I always see the term "BAREBACK!" prominently featured on a lot of the video covers, so I presume that the gay porn industry is a major public health problem.

It is indeed. Actually, the odds of catching AIDS even without condom usage are much lower with hetero sex. Many of the gay porn actors switch hit, and thus spread AIDS into the hetero population. This really has to stop - they should be required to go one way or the other and not be allowed to switch back and forth. That way, AIDS would at least be isolated on one side of the divide.

Then either they should require condom usage, or on and off set switch hitters should be banned from the hetero sets. I'm sure they have a good idea re: how plays both sides off set, and who doesn't. The health risks are simply too high.

Some of them are honest, some would lie. I think the guy who was the start of the HIV in 04 was 'straight' here...but he went to South America and wasn't so straight.

Then compulsory condom usage (at least for anal) is the only realistic solution.

I remember the 'talent' bitching cuz they could avoid cumming in the butt (cuts risk way down) and the industry has 'fake cum' to use so it would still look like a cream pie...but producers didn't want to.

They are kinda competing with all the amatur out there and they won't have to wear condoms.

That's the makings of a lotta potential liability for the producers. If performers are asking for something safer and the producers refuse due to economic considerations, that is a very bad fact pattern in a court.

Hasn't happened yet and I've heard of issues since 04....they must have some with condoms and some bareback. Bet bare pays better and they all sign agreements to do it.
