Palin was shown in an AP photo supposedly 'getting her hair done' by a hair stylist while visiting a cholera center in Haiti, according to the AP caption released with the photo. The obvious goal was to show that Palin was intent only on looking good for the photo op. A number of news outlets, including the HuffPo and The Daily Mail ran with that false story. It turned out that the 'hair stylist' was in fact Bristol Palin, who was just straightening up her mom's disheveled hair before they got their picture taken.
