Ha! That's funny. I've been waiting for a cat person to point out what really happened in the video, but I didn't want to be a spoilsport.
The kitten isn't having a nightmare. It's twitching it's legs which is what cats (and dogs) do when they have dreams of running and chasing. You can tell they're dreaming of the chase, becaues they'll somtimes hiss and pretend paw at the mouse in their sleep.
The mom isn't hugging the kitten. That's a half-asleep kitty stretch. That's how my cat stretches all the time. If a kitten (or a piece of cloth) or a person's hand were next to the cat, they'd just get all caught up in the kitty-stretch too.
But it's a nice thread, all the same.

One of our cats stretches like that too when she's in that state, first out and then draws her paws in close to her body as if she was hugging.
But since there's a kitten in there, it's most definitely a hug.
