Monday, July 4th
Batteries crapped out & I barely got a few shots in yesterday - but here they are & I'm loaded with fresh batteries now...

Tuesday July 5th
3rd section of the garden. Needs work along the back fence - some obedient plant to rip out & a wild gerenium. Thinking of putting more hollyhocks & some taller monkshood in there. Now I just need to think of something on the tall side for spring...
Second shot - Veronica spicata 'Red Fox', nicely backlit by the late afternoon sun. This should bloom for the next month or so.

I like hollyhocks. Aren't those the ones that grow near outhouses? I like morning glories too, had them growing on the back fence when I was little.
Great pictures Sue!

Wednesday, July 6th
I know, I'm really late. Craptastic day yesterday & today wasn't any better. I'll post yesterday's photos & go out & take today's.
The 3rd section of the garden & my 1st Shirley poppy of the season... a cultivar known as 'First Love'.

Thursday July 7th
Last section of the garden - the boring one. I can't go deeper without intruding into the path people use to go out to the road. It's stunning in early spring, then fades to... yawn! Fairly deep shade under the neighbour's ash trees. I need to add more summer bloomers. I'm trialing a small patch of 'American Dream' coreopsis & some poppy seeds I threw in the front just bloomed. The delphinium is getting moved. Some nimrod stole 4 of the 5 spikes just as they were opening.
My new daylily 'Country Club' just opening. I really need to get it out of the nursery pot & PLANTED.

Now That My Camera Has Been Successfully "CPR'ed"
I know, the garden is getting overgrown & tattered looking. Rest day on the Tour tomorrow which means I can work out there during the cooler hours. Some edging & weeding, possibly thinning is in order.
Second shot - some big carp I spotted on my day trip Saturday...

Oops - forgot these last night.
2nd section of garden & the second shot is the seed pod from a Jack in the Pilpit. Looks kind of cool & I understand by late summer/early fall, the 'berries' will turn red.

Posted my trip album just now.
I was so wiped yesterday in the 90 minutes I had between my cleaning jobs & bingo, I took no photos. Frankly, I wouldn't have been certain which end of the camera to point where!
But I posted 38 photos just now, here:
http://thisbluemarble.com/album.php?albumid=124
I'll 'cheat' & have that count as 2 days shooting. Later this evening, I want to see if this camera really can shoot in near dark. If that works out, I'll post those.

Tonight's shots
The sunset shot was taken after nine tonight & the garden was so dark, (I was using the low light setting), I literally just pointed & shot - had no idea what I was shooting. Not bad at all!

Sunrise or Alien Invasion?
Where's the mothership?
Up early one morning in November & looked east to see this. I was shaking so much with excitement I had trouble getting the camera out of its ase & turned on. I had to snap 4 quick shots - only two were half decent & this was the best by a good bit.

And before I lose this AGAIN:
I've never, ever seen trilliums at this stage. Well past best bloom & having just been rained on. It made them transluscent - something I've never seen & I thught it was remarkable & definitely worth a photo!
