There are one years supplies and one year supplies. Look over the detailed list of what's there, compare to other one year supplies, take a look at nutrition, think about monotony while living on it for a year. Actually, a grand for a GOOD one person year's supply ain't bad at all.

You have to REALLY like TVP.

Unfortunately, most of the flavored TVP in such packages are less than tasty. And they have a lot of salt.

Don't get me wrong, I like TVP. The best was FRESH unflavored chunks I used for in a tomato sauce and one time in a stew. It picks up flavor like tofu.

The rest of it, if the quality is high, would be good but I would use Mountain House dehydrated for the meats.
