Arrow How to unlock a door with breaching shotgun rounds

Special door breaching rounds:

Door breacher muzzle brake for 12 gauge shotguns:

The serrated mouth allows the shotgun to be pressed against the right spot on the door without slipping off to the side. The vents allow muzzle blast gases to escape when the muzzle of the shotgun is in contact with the door.

They just killed a set of newborn quintuplets behind that door .

Use a sledgehammer you wankers.

Oh wait sorry , the quintuplets should have surrendered and thrown
down their weapons . My bad .

No one behind the door would have been killed. These guys know what they are doing. What tools to breach the door depends upon the situation.

But it would be cool to watch you attempt to explain to a trained entry team the errors of their ways.

Breaching rounds are not buckshot, they're sintered metal that basically turns to dust when it strikes. The quints will be OK.

What I found interesting is that they just "knew" where the door hinges were. Might work on a cheap hollow core door in an apartment, but a heavy residential door with four hinges? Not so much. I assume they'd go for the deadbolt—or maybe just use det cord.

Breeching the lock is much less messy. No gunpowder required.

This forum is for the discussion of the mechanics and uses of arms, numerous arms. Your comments are not in line with that. There are plenty of rooms here do discuss your dislike/distrust of law enforcment tactics. The Armory aint it.

We just use slugs.

Sometimes the tactical situation calls for a ballistic breach, and you use what you've got.

As an aside, I leave Sunday for my one week basic demolitions and six week urban operations instructor course- I'll be doing doors with boots, rams, hooligan tools, shotguns, explosives and welding torches, plus everything else that comes once you're in. I'm very, very pumped.

One of the things that stuck with me during my life is something I remembered from my days in the Corps. Several Marine MP's from Camp Pendleton went to a joint training session with their civilian counterparts from San Diego. There, the San Dog cops showed the Marines how easy it was to (as the bad guy) partially disassemble the Marines issue Beretta M-9 sidearm when the firearm was pointed at them, and the importance of not letting the subject get close enough to grab the firearm. This move had been shown the the civie cops by their good friends in the criminal element and were advised that this was a well known tactic being discussed in jails and prisons up and down the coast.

My point is, while a sledgehammer may have been a viable breach tool, (and in some cases may still be) dont for one second think that Johnny Meth Maker has not considered that rather simple breaching option and has not hardened his door against it.

One thing that kills me about old cops, they can regale you with stories about how much things changed between their fresh-from-the-academy days and their retirement, but they forget rather quickly that change is continuous. "Well in my day, this was all we needed".

Yeah, it was, then the badguys got wise to that shit and now we do it this way cause they learned from YOUR tactics.
