Research on mice has shown that tetrahydro iso-alpha acids from hops have a strong anti-inflammatory potential, reducing weight in obese mice, and improving insulin sensitivity in diabetic mice.

I can refute this in two words: beer belly.

And if it were true, beer would be the cure (instead of part of the cause) of metabolic syndrome and diabetes.
