Default Tendonitis

I gave myself raging cases of tennis elbow in both elbows and also tendonitis in my right wrist where the thumb attaches (there's a name for this, can't remember), shovelling snow last winter. Then I got a food service job in March and those poor tendons are getting no rest and are getting worse.

I have been using a blend of infused herbal oils that really help with the pain (St John's wort, comfrey, calendula, arnica and helichrysum), and I have just seen something online about using solomons' seal for ligament and tendon injuries.

Has anyone used solomon's seal for things like this?

I've had bad tendonitis in one elbow a number of years ago. I dont know about herbs for it, but there are some things you can do to help it. Make sure before you use your arm that the elbow has been warmed. And ice it when you are finished to reduce inflamation. Also when you pick up something, always make sure your elbow is bent, and that your arm is not fully extended. And never use too much force when doing anything. I also used to use a band that would strap just below the elbow to distribute the pressure more evenly.

Eventually it went away, but it took a long time.

I know this is the herbarium, but I also found using ibuprofen helpful.

I have been living on ibuprofin. I've seen those bands, I'll pick a couple of them up.

The woman that used to be the manager was always on my case to be Faster! FASTER!! KEEP YOUR HOURS DOWN!!!!! so I got in the habit of mopping huge swaths of floor and extending the crap out of my arms. Well, she's not the manager anymore so maybe I can slow down and mop gently.

Old Hawk, I wish.
