Egypt cuts gas flow to Israel -- WOW!

Apparently Egypt has stopped gas flows through a pipeline
that supplies 40% of Israeli energy .

A heavy blow indeed , it will be interesting to see what the Israeli
contingency plan is ( if they have one ) .

Australia currently exports gas in ships as shown below and I am
wondering if it is possible to divert one to help Israel . Probably not ,
is my guess .

This Egyptian gas pipeline has been blown up time after time in the past, cutting the gas flow for weeks or months. The Israelis were already in the process of setting up an importation terminal for LNG tankers as a backup for this reason. Once their offshore gas fields are developed, the LNG terminal will switch from an importation facility to an exportation facility.
