Default Help for ketchup bottles

Another of the worlds' most pressing problems solved. Ain't technology wunnerful?

See video of this in action at the link.

"Slippery coating developed by MIT student"

Quote:
"A new slippery coating developed by an MIT student may soon take the frustration out of finishing a bottle of ketchup.

PhD candidate Dave Smith and a team of mechanical engineers and nano-technologists at the Varanasi Research Group have been working for the last two months developing LiquiGlide, the coating made of nontoxic materials that can be used in food packaging. But it looks like condiment bottles might be the first application of the material."

My fix is cheaper. Stand the bottle on it's head.

Can't see a real push for a company to do this. Increase costs of the container + lower sales (due to consumers not needing to replace as often) = bad business model

besides the fact they're moving more to squeezable plastic bottles

The obvious solution would be to subsidize it.

We could have the goverment establish minimum ketchup-flow-rate regulations.
