Have you read any of her other books? I think I've read about 1/3 - 1/2 of them.

Yes, I have loads of them. If you like those, I could also recommend the "Black Dagger Brotherhood" series from J.R. Ward, "A Midnight Breed" series from Lara Adrian, and the "Dark Carpathian" series from Christine Feehan.

Lots and lots of D-Day material lined up. Fartlett Minor and I are going to Normandy and Paris in August.

Right now I'm almost done reading Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon. The next one is a novella called Timeless Innocents and it's by Janis Susan May. I read the blurb about it on Barnes and Noble and until the end of the month it's $.99 so I bought it. I can't wait to read it.

Here's the blurb: When Brianna Forte is made executor of the Clerkwells' estate, she thinks it'll be a simple task to catalogue and liquidate their assets. After all, they lived very modestly, their only apparent interest in life being a large collection of eerily lifelike little figurines called Timeless Innocents.

Exquisitely crafted yet somehow ominously creepy, the figurines are all different and made of some hard fleshlike material. When a parade of sinister characters turn up demanding she sell them the figures, Brianna begins to investigate their origin—and what she learns will change her life forever...

I was at Costco yesterday and there was a HUGE display of the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy. I had heard the name in passing, and that it was erotica. Hmm.....book says New York Times bestseller on the back......sure, I'll try it!

So I picked up the first book. Started reading it last night. Was half hysterical before the end of the 1st chapter.

This book reads like a parody of Twilight, only the writing is much worse. I texted my oldest daughter, who knows EVERYTHING, and she informs me that this book started out as Twilight 'fan fiction'.

I don't know whether to take it back and get my $10 back, or keep it for the humor factor. Here is an example of a pretty bad writing style.

"His voice is warm and husky like dark melted chocolate fudge caramel....or something."

So. Is it erotica, or is it humor? Can it be both? I'll keep reading and find out I guess.

On to another new book. This one is A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. Diana accidentally discovers an very old alchemical book in her universities book stackes. Finding it some how alerts all sorts of magical beings that it's been found. Then they all strat following her because they think she will lead them to it.

I've just started and it looks like it's going to be a good one.

I've read all of my books, I have to get more! I'm going to buy a few on-line today because all I have at home are some a friend gave me and they really aren't my taste but I will read them. Today I'll start Three Doors to Death by Rex Stout, a Nero Wolfe mystery. My friend like Nero Wolfe and bought all of the ones available on her Nook. She gave me the paper backs.

I put Nero Wolfe back on the shelf because I bought The Map of Time while we were out earlier. I saw a review of it a while back and finally found it in paper back today.

That's what my MIL does, except she just calls the one by her. The whole town is under 200 people so they will do it for her.

WHAT?????

I recently finished the latest Lucas Davenport book and have just started the latest Virgil Flowers book, both series by John Sandford. I've also just finished last night a book by John Katzenbach called The Madman's Tale and have 2 or 3 more by him waiting in line. I am really looking forward to getting into this Virgil Flowers book, I love this series.
