Short fresh notes :

Mittilini (lesbos) is the 3rd largest island of Greece

Charter flights 2 years ago to the island : 5000
Charter flights this year (est) : 1500

The beaches and the resorts are empty, european tourists stopped coming

Turks are coming to the rescue

Tourists from Turkey 2 years ago : 4000
This year (est) : 30000

Our tour guide talked about the economy a lot. He said the wages are cut 40%, no more bonuses and further wage cuts are expected, people still survive because of past savings but it is not too far that everyone will be peniless

"i expect a new election next year" he said.

The first 8 month reports for Greek economy have positive results

The budget deficits are much below then planned (expected)
