I like how in the parade the people were getting wet but the umbrella was over the owl.

#221/365 - July 13th: The heavy storms we've had lately have managed to wash out part of the road near one of the sewer drains down the block.

#222/365 - July 14th: The family stopped by Hub Cigar store - which happens to be one of the best magazine/newspaper stores in the city - to grab a few magazines to help keep us occupied on the upcoming flights.

#223/365 - July 15th: Blossom and her mommy.

#224/365 - July 16th: They're doing a bunch of street repairs directly above the underground central LRT station downtown - it looks like they might be a bit concerned about some of the roof caving in from the activity above...

#225/365 - July 17th: A ridiculously busy week at work...

#226/365 - July 18th: A night biew of the city skyline as I head home after putting in a little OT.

#227/365 - July 19th: The Capital Exhibition kicks off today in the city and the company had a pancake breakfast for the employees.

#228/365 - July 20th: A "Hidden Mickey" in Edmonton? I think it's a sign we're going to have a good vacation...

#229/365 - July 21st: It's not going to be all Disney this vacation - Renee has her gown and wand ready for a visit to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

So in case you're wondering - the family is heading to Florida for a couple weeks, then I'm back for a week before I'm off again for my annual daddy & daughters camping trip.

No new pictures for a couple weeks...

The World of Harry Potter is the one I'd love to go to. Take lots of pictures for me please?? I'll never get to go and I could ride anything if I did, not unless they have wheelchair clamps to strap me in.

Cool! I would love to be able to just wave a wand and have my hour clean it's self. To me life is magical, how we move and how we live, it's great.

#233/365 - July 25th: Seeing the magic at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Not much magical about a $75 breakfast for the family though...

A looooonnnnnnnng line for the Hogwart's ride....

One of Renée's classmates had a Harry Potter themed birthday party a while back and Renée had received a hand-crafted wand from her friend's dad. After we had booked our vacation my wife arranged for him to make a couple special wands for Emily and herself, and then she was able to get one of the clerks to make a special secret surprise presentation of them to Emily when Emily went up to browse the wand selection.

We also spent some additional time at Seuss Landing...

The spray park might have been the biggest hit with the girls...

More to come but we had spent next few days at waterparks and my wife loaded those pics (from our waterproof camera) on the laptop she took to London without putting them on our network drive. I've been flip flopping on posting them in order or just skipping them and coming back to them later...

Have you driven the dogs nuts yet? It's got to be so quiet with everyone else gone.

When do they get back? I spent 6 months alone while DS 1 was in basic and AIT, DS 2 was away at school and DH was in prison. Just me and 5 cats and one dog. I walked around talking to my self and had the TV or radio going because I wasn't used to the quiet.
