Nearly 5% of accounts are double accounts. 2.4% is misclassified users, that category includes facebook pages for pets. The rest category is undiserable...spammers and such.
Not that shocking really.
Further on in the article there's a short part which tells about distribution firm Limited Press claiming 80% of their likes came from fake users...

I bet the presence of these accounts had an affect on the "valuation" of Facebook!
I also would bet that management ignored the presence of these accounts.

Pets are important to people and become members of the family. It is no surprise to me when I hear of pets having a FB account. I have asked the SO to make one for Jake. I have never bothered with FB but the SO uses it.
