Default Return of film photography: Kodak is bringing back the iconic Ektachrome format due to 'overwhelming' demand

Ektachrome was phased out in 2012 but there has been new demand
The film has a certain look with fine grain, good contrasts and clean colours
Kodak is currently working on a new kind of emulsion that meets new environmental regulations before it relaunches the film

Kodak is bringing back traditional film due to overwhelming
consumer demand. The photography company said that it plans to
start selling its Ektachrome film before the end of the year, with
others to follow
Chance favors the prepared mind.

And how do you get it developed?

I call bullcorn on this, espcially the article and the way it was written and presented with its curated photographs from professional or highly trained (NASA) photographers.

This is nothing more than a progression from D body, to F body to more expensive F body photography high $$ crowd buying gear.

Nostalgia look digital cameras have happened in the last few years, with high $$, and this is an extension of it.

Yes, some photographers chasing the latest trend, or perhaps high end artist may go use it but I doubt any working professional photographer or photojournalist wants to give up digital.

Ektachrome was OK. Personally I always used respooled 35mm film from Seattle Filmworks. Pain to send to them for processing, but it always gave better and more correct color and it was as fine grained ask Ectachrome even when pushed.

Litigation, and digital killed them off.
