My knees are giving me a ration of crap now too.

Mine too, it's the wacky weather we're having.

So, I've been wearing my knee brace religiously and doing the exercises my physical therapist from six years ago gave me. The orthopedist I'm supposed to have a referral to? It hasn't come through yet. What a &^%$#@% pile of excrement.

Anyway, screw modern medicine, my self-treatment is working well and I've been slowly upping my minutes on the exercise bike. I've also been doing work in the yard/garden. The amount of time varies depending on how my knee is going.

Weight? I'm staying pretty stable. Still fat and not losing but not gaining either. I'm calling it a win for now.

Aughhh, got on the scale this morning and found myself up 3 lbs. I'm eating too much of the wrong things. Back to strictly following my eating plan. Exercise is okay. Keeping it low impact and my knee is gradually getting back to normal. Thank goodness. I do not want surgery.

IMO, avoid heavy carbs. That is more than half the battle. I have regained full use of my knees through weight loss and exercise. I will never jog again, but I can handle a 16,000 step day now. Personally, I have found walking to be better for my knees than bicycling.

Don't wrestle with a pig. The pig enjoys it and you get muddy.

I never walk outside during the week any more. So, I thought, I should start walking out in the sunshine before it gets too hot. This morning I walked about 3 miles up to the Community Center to see what classes they're offering, looped around to the boardwalk around the lake, and then back home.

It totally sucked. I had to drink 2 cans of Coke to recover. I'm sticking to the treadmill from now on.

You use more muscles walking outside.

Life has returned to crazy - the past few weeks have left me with very little quality "me" time. Also, the knee is still troublesome. I sat on hold for 18 minutes (I didn't sit, I cleaned the kitchen) with the doctors office before being disconnected. It's been almost two months and still no news about the orthopedics referral. So, I'm going to attempt to make a appointment, pay another $40, to be once again told that I have to go to a specialist.

So frustrating.

But, I've been eating much better and am down few pounds.

Had a cortisone injection in my knee this morning. So far, the knee popping volume is significantly quieter and I can feel my toes! YES!!!

My muscles were fine. It was 90 degrees and the sun was like a blowtorch on my skin.
