Doc was one of my heroes. An excellent musician and a true Christian gentleman.

The last time I saw him was at 'MerleFest' in '08. My daughter was walking the Appalachian Trail at the time. I picked her up in Tennessee and drove over to North Carolina for the festival. Four days of the best bluegrass and oldtime country music available.

There's none who can replace Doc and Merle...
