Bragging on the garden
I just can't help but brag a bit about the garden. I haven't been able to do anything in it since very early spring. But DH and his folks have worked really hard to give us a great garden.
For the past couple of weeks, they've been getting beans, squash, zucchini, maters, NZ spinach and did I say beans and zucchini?
The corn, okra, watermelon, cucumbers, peppers and winter squash are also doing well.
I'm so proud of them!!

Beautiful garden, Catbird! What a tragedy it would have been to lose all that because the Head Gardener was laid up. Kudos to your DH and his folks. They came through and the proof is on the table.
Now who gets to process all of that goodness for freezer and canning?

YUM!
They've done a wonderful job - under your capable supervision, naturally.

Thanks.
Unfortunately, my poor MIL is doing most of the preserving work. My keepers (aka DH and the ILs) have been allowing me to do the spinach in the dehydrator but that's about it.
Hopefully, I'll be up and around in time for the late summer rush. She'll be worn out by then and I'll be more than ready to be able to do some work. I hope!

W O W!!
That is fantastic! You are going to be very busy after the harvest, preserving all that.
That recovery better be quick, which means you don't make any impulsive moves for as long as it takes.
Any setbacks will be frowned upon by the DH and ILs.
And all of us, from a distance.

I KNEW IT!
She's just trying to pimp out her excess zucchini.
