Default Welcome to the Ebola Forum

It's increasingly clear this is a large & growing outbreak. We're monitoring the situation in 3 countries where it's confirmed, 3 others where one known patient was during travel, the 2 cases to be treated in the US & that's just the start.

This has the potential to grow exponentially - the case counts, nations involved, information about treatment, research, prevention, funding, staffing, social costs, economic costs, etc.

The few threads we had were getting pretty long & unwieldy. I thought of dissecting them into distinct threads but... no. It would kill the integrity of thread & be too much work.

fb graciously opened this room to discuss all aspects of the issue.

Feel free to begin new threads dealing with the different aspects - that way we can zone in on an area we're really interested in & absorb all of this in smaller chunks.

Have at it.

There does not seem to be a "New Thread Button in the Ebola Forum. Is there another way to start a Thread here?

Please delete this message.

Thank you J.

Don't wrestle with a pig. The pig enjoys it and you get muddy.

Note: As we start seeing REASONABLE suspicion of cases in other parts of the world or confirmed cases, we'll get new threads started.

Not sure how - some nations are big enough to warrant their own threads - depending on case counts.

We'll play it by ear, okay
