Default Scientists create a drug that can restore crucial hair to the inner ear and allows them to keep their hearing

Most people end up going deaf from damage to hair cells in their inner ear
Humans have 15,000 of them to last their entire life as they don't regenerate
Currently, the only solution for those who are affected is a cochlear implant
But scientists have managed to successfully grow the cells in their laboratory
Chance favors the prepared mind.

Yea, I don't need anymore hair in my ear.

Wait, oh you mean cochlear hair. Never mind. Lol
