Lead in is the story about a gut with Crimean-Congo Viral Hemorrhagic Fever. That's some tick bourne vector limited disease.

Next one of the victims for the new SARS like disease (anothor corona virus). It's not quite as contagious as SARS. Nasty but hardly armageddon material.

Then on to Professor Oxford (who works for a London university) who claims a zoonotic based on historical numbers in five years.

I wonder what numbers he used for his claim.

The article doesn't link to research he did or related materials but this is a very general science journalism sin.

SARS jumped us out of the blue.
Swine Flu H1N1 did so too.
