Default Pushbike to EBike upgrade .

I have been handed down my sons pushbike and am considering
upgrading it to an EBike by using a conversion kit and adding an
electric motor to the front wheel .

Anyone done that ? Any tricks or traps ?

The main problem thus far is finding a kit that matches my sons
bike . Most kits on Ebay seem to be for a 26 inch wheel bike
and his seems to have a 27 inch wheels .
