Default New England Patriots DID deflate footballs for their win over Colts: 'Eleven of 12 game balls were under inflated'

Quote:
The NFL has said it is reviewing whether the New England Patriots manipulated footballs during their 45-7 home win over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC championship game Sunday night
Colts linebacker D'Qwell Jackson's interception reportedly caused the Colts to look into what is being called 'Deflategate'
A Colts equipment staff member was handed the ball by Jackson and noticed it seemed under-inflated, according to one report
Both Colts coach Chuck Pagano and general manager Ryan Grigson were reportedly notified
Grigson reached out to NFL director of football operations Mike Kensil who spoke to on-field officials, according to the the report

Cheating [email protected]

No, the Colts didn't lose because of this, but it shows a culture at the New England franchise of disregarding rules, doing ANYTHING to gain an advantage, arrogance, and mean-spiritedness. Anyone who thinks that the Patriots cheated only twice (Spygate and Shrinkagegate) and were caught the only two times they did it is delusional.

The team should be barred from the playoffs next year and the coach should be suspended for a year for his 2nd offense.

I loathe the Seahawks, too, but I hope they DESTROY the Patriots and Brady gets pulverized into humus.

Brady press conference on now. Such a load of bullsh!t.

Consensus of opinion of former coaches and quarterbacks: Bellichik probably didn't know about the balls, but Brady had to. The only people who review and handle the balls before the game are the starting quarterback and the equipment manager.

It was well-deserved given the way the press were treating the Broncos as the next dynasty team. Anyways, I though you were a Colts fan. I get the Manning connection, but still...

When Manning was let go by the Colts, wherever he landed was going to become my new favorite team. Colts are Number Two. Once Manning retires, then they'll be Number One again.

NFL brings in special prosecutor Tom Cruise to get to the bottom of this. He wants the truth!

'Ours are fully filled': Krispy Kreme joins social media users poking fun at the New England Patriots as Deflategate scandal continues, despite Tom Brady's denial

Quote:
Tom Brady has denied playing any part in the Deflategate scandal which has overshadowed the New England Patriot's build-up to the Super Bowl.

But the plea of innocence from the quarterback has not helped the franchise become the target of online pranksters.

Hundreds of social media users have created memes and digitally-enhanced images to poke fun at the side - who will take on the Seattle Seahawks next Sunday.

Companies including Krispy Kreme also took the opportunity to promote their products while poking fun at the organisation - claiming their donuts are always 'fully filled'.

News outlets also joined in with the jokes, with the New York Post branding the organisation 'Slime Balls.'

Despite the ensuing scandal, Brady also made it clear that he believes the Patriots won 'fair and square' in their 45 - 7 rout of the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday in the AFC Championship game.

CSI Tom Brady: NFL launches joint investigation of 'forensic' evidence, video and interviews as it's revealed Patriots footballs HAD passed inflation inspection shortly before the game started
Quote:
The NFL has finally released a statement regarding Deflategate and their investigation into the New England Patriots
The league began investigating Sunday night and has conducted 40 interviews while also hiring a forensics team
The Patriots have been fully participating and fully available for the investigation according to the league
It has also been revealed that the NFL tested all 24 of the Patriots pregame footballs, and they all passed inspection
What's more, Indianapolis Colts linebacker D'Qwell Jackson claims that a ball he intercepted from Tom Brady did not feel underinflated
This after many pegged Jackson as the man who set the events of Deflategate in motion following Sunday's AFC Championship Game

Did they check the Colt's balls at halftime as well? Was there a temp swing during the game that could have led to change in pressure?

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...ball-pressure/

Quote:
The folks at SportsScience addressed this issue in 2010. A ball exposed to 10-degree temperatures for an hour, the pressure drops from 13.5 PSI to 11 PSI.

It is a deflated ball for both sides, what advantage does one side get from that ?

I don't know if it's true, but I saw in a comment on one of the articles floating around that Belichick's son is one of the equipment managers.

Oric, each team gets a set of balls to use, so they are not pulling balls from a common set during the game. They can brush them or scuff them up some to take the new "slickness" off, so each team probably does it a little differently for their individual quarterbacks. They even have different balls for the kicking plays I believe.
