Don't wrestle with a pig. The pig enjoys it and you get muddy.

Default Aran Plaid

I started this project almost 2 years ago and set it aside because I was not happy with the neckline as it appears in the pattern. Also, the pattern is easy to screw up (lulls you into complacency and then oh damn have to frog back because I missed a changeover) so it demands a lot of attention. The yarn I chose is a bit soft (I am very into cuddly yarns) but if I had to do it over again I would choose a linen blend or cotton yarn for better stitch definition but with so much already completed I am determined to finish it.

Since gorgeous has already been taken, I'll go for lovely!! And I agree with MA, that is a wonderful shade of green.

I love it. I wish I could knit. Everything I try looks like burlap.

Feather, practice makes perfect. Start with small items, like knitted dishcloths. They're useful and make nice gifts, and you get to try a lot of different patterns without a big investment in time or money.
