The Diner Is Now Open
I stop feeding my birds by the end of May as a rule & did so again this year - the little buggers should be able to find plenty of food in the wild by then & I don't want to be raising multiple generations of entitlement attitude birdies.
But it's November now & yesterday I dragged home my first bag of seed - black sun flower seeds. It didn't get placed out until less than 2 hours until sun set & only 1 squirrel had a chance to discover it. Me took full advantage of his bonus find.
Today, the local winged beasts have realized it's back in operation... nothing spectacular so far, just chickadees, a pair of blue jaws & hulking crow... & the squirrel back for more.
he cardinals should be in from the woods for winter soon - they're always a cheery side on otherwise dull days.
Searching for a dream to run after & catch!
