Default Looking Wonderfully Awful, Blessedly 'Benign'

An hour or so ago, I dragged a brush through my hair & glanced into the mirror. I squealed a little. At some point this evening, a blood vessel in my conjunctiva, (white of my eye), burst & half the white of my left eye is an evil, ghastly looking blood red - literally blood red. Let me put it this way - I'm ready for my camera test in the next horror movie.

No pain, no pressure, no overt bleeding, no disruption of the pupil, no vision problems... I've had this happen a few times in my life before, generally with no precipitating event at all - no fall, blow to head, spike in blood pressure... I'm not having clotting problems - my most recent blood work was disgustingly normal.

It should fade away within a week or so but in the mean time, let's see how many people freak out. I told SO if he didn't behave himself this week, I'd tell people he'd been beating me or something. He was Not Amused. Can't say I blame him but he knows I don't & never have, pulled that kind of crap.

I just came back from a bit of shopping & a few minor errands. I got the oddest looks out there - poor people. Not a nice thing to see on a pre-storm Tuesday morning.

Just as well I wasn't coughing or sneezing along with it. People would have really freaked.
