I had a friend in Texas who was sitting in a truck with his brother, who was helping him move to a new apartment, when someone walked up and shot his brother in the head and killed him. It was a gang initiation killing. They just had to randomly kill a stranger, and decided on the guy sitting in the pickup truck at a red light was an easy target.
