Question tumeric

How and when is tumeric used in treating influenza?

What you want is curcumin which is the active ingredient in tumeric. Specifically, curcumin with piperine (from black pepper), which enhances the availability of the curcumin.

Those are good links. We were thinking of the curcumin with bipirene for cytokine storm. I think this is a seat of the pants idea but we need something.... I got some in the flu stash. Also ginger to quiet nausea if necessary.

Curcumin is also great for reducing body aches. It does that by reducing the inflammation. Some people use it for arthritis.

Has anyone figured out a dosage to try to prevent cytokine storm yet?

I was taking two a day (of the 800 mg LEF product) after a breast cancer diagnosis.

I'm kind of sketchy about taking them at all after those few gallbladder spasm attacks I had while taking them. They may or may not have caused that (that's one of the contraindications with curcumin-gallbladder problems), but oh my gosh, that was PAINFUL.
