Exclamation What do you know about Arbidol?

I have read that Arbidol is an immune strengthener and antiviral, from Russia and China, that has been around for 20 years or so. I have read some really interesting comments on it, and it sounds like it would be good to have on hand every winter. It is supposed to be good for all types of flu including bird flu, RSV, and even Hep. C. For some reason it is not widely known or talked about, why not?

Read about it here to begin with:

Inhibiting viral entry is a good thing, but jacking up the immune
system may not be the best course of action when both
H1N1 and H5N1 kill by cytokine storm.

FWIW.

I have it in my inventory for prophylaxis.

Science Teacher at PFI:

Arbidol from PubMed: http://tinyurl.com/2nxr2r It works best when used in combination with another antiviral like amantidine. http://tinyurl.com/2nxr2r This one looks promising.

Illuminatus at PFI:
>Follows a standard list of symptoms, plus... advice on medicines (first time I see that in the press)]

To treat avian influenza patients advised to apply such antivirals, as gamma-interferon, arbidol, rimantadine, algirem, grippferon, Cycloferon, amiksin, tamiflu and relenza. But only reception traditional antivirals avian influenza alone.

Arbidol is a local, Russian/Soviet Block antiviral. There's a long discussion about Arbidol at FC. It was available online about 2 years ago; one needed to "gamble" it would show up as it would be sent via the mail.

If you know anything about any of these, please post:

Algirem
Grippferon
Cycloferon
Amiksin

Hi iWonder. Welcome to TBM.

With everything that is goin round at the moment, all the flu around the world, all the different types and strains I just don't see why they don't have a wider testing area, especially some of the west.

Does anyone know if it is supposed to be good for swine flu??
