Default Fabric Sale

Nice scores at a sale today - a number of senior ladies had donated unused fabric to raise money for the Stephen Lewis Foundation to raise money to support HIV/AIDs orphans in Africa.

All cuts of fabric were $1/meter. We were there right at the opening and managed to get 15m of polar fleece that the girls can use for their girl guide camp blankets as well as other cuts for their future sewing class projects and projects my wife has in mind...

Drooling over your score of polar fleece. I've found, that for me, it takes a double sidedfleece blanket works the best. Until we bought the fleece blanket we have now my favorite blanket was my fleece throw.

Don't wrestle with a pig. The pig enjoys it and you get muddy.

Whimper...

No room for fabric anyway. DH was squawking when I needed to buy something for backing the most recent quilt. I don't think it got through to him that you cannot back a 45" by 60" lap throw with a fat quarter. Well, you CAN with lots of fat quarters, but I'd rather save them for the FRONT of the quilt!
