Default A wee bit of color...

Got a few shots the other afternoon of what little color we get around here. After the cold snap this weekend they'll probably all be about brown....

Don't wrestle with a pig. The pig enjoys it and you get muddy.

Default Fall color in Florida

I thought I'd add on to Ren's thread about Florida fall color. My camera isn't up to the long-distance work that would be necessary to catch the best color I've seen lately in other areas so this is only what I saw on my place this evening as the sun was hitting the tops of the trees. The light was just starting to fade a bit so they seemed to glow.

Several pear trees out in the pasture

Slight different angle to include a persimmon tree with the pears in the background

Native cherry on the left with a sand holly turning gold on the right

Persimmon in the foreground with the north side orchard treeline in the background

Sweet gum & cherry framed between a seedling pine and a sycamore

The best fall color of all!

The grasshoppers and leaf miners torment that thing all summer, but that little tree doggedly sets and matures a big crop of lemons every fall.

Come February everything will be gray and dull but for right now I'm seeing some of the best fall color that I've seen around here in years.

.....Alan.
