I quit when I got to the insect question. There's over a million species of beetle just in the amazon, but they say there is less than a million insects overall?. I question their accuracy.

Don't wrestle with a pig. The pig enjoys it and you get muddy.

There are estimates as high as 30 million species of insects, but only 900k+ have been identified. I wasn't sure whether to pick the 950 or over a million so I took a chance on the lower number.

I guessed the date India left Great Britain. I knew it was shortly after WWII but was not sure.

Said I had a Masters.

Reality is I quit school at 15, my attendance had always been sporadic due to our near constant moving. IIRC I went to perhaps, 15 or 16 schools, sometimes with rather long periods of no school at all, for assorted reasons, before my brief time in high school. Thank goodness for libraries, those wonderful places of sanctuary that they were

FWIW I think the bulk of the questions / answers, are simply things one picks up / retains over time. There were a few questions that seemed fairly weighted towards a person with an inclination / interest in the arts.

Still, a fun way to pass a little time

But I think that they are confusing intelligence with cultural literacy, though. You could be very intelligent but score poorly because you have no interest in one or more fields.

After reading all of this, I am rather intimidated....

I admit the average intelligence of people around here is very high, and intimidating. But, THAT is why I hang around.
