Arrow Where to buy masks?

I have masks, but I want to order more and beef up my supply. Does anyone know of a source that is not yet sold out for N95 surgical masks?

I did the same thing this morning, only I went for the N95's that I found at Home Depot. They only had two boxes of N95/20packs left. They were $19.97 a box. I couldn't find any surgical ones at any of the drug stores I tried, they were all sold out. These are better than nothing and hopefully, I won't need them.

I ordered 2 more cartons of N95 off a reputable NZ company on the net and they have confirmed I will receive them in 4 days.
I find it's easier on the net over here in New Zealand.
1. Our small city has very few N95s for sale.
2. Asking for them today at a pharmacy or other outlet here would get a similar reaction as asking for condoms in the 60s....

I must admit i'm a little confused when it comes to masks. I took a trip down to Bunnings and found that they had shelves of P2 masks waiting to be grabbed. The boxes (20) where really quite reasonable.

Looking around the internet it appears that P2 masks are N95 masks and are what I'm looking for.

Emergency Esentials has N95's 12.99 for 20 of them. They were on their frontpage yesterday.

I just ordered some N95 1870 from Masks n More. Their prices are lower than most and they usually ship the next day. They still have these in stock, where some other sites I looked at this morning are sold out (and higher priced anyway).

I ordered a few boxes of N95 1860 back in 2005, and it seems like they arrives in just a couple days!

Thanks, everyone. Dm, that was a useful link. They have fluid-resistant N95 masks. In this climate, it should have occured to me that I should have that type.

o6,
If there's a Grainger near you, try there as well-they seem to have everything industrial, and reasonable prices too...

There is, but they are only open weekdays until 5PM. I will call them and see what they have. I can get down to Bellevue during lunch if I have to.

I already ordered some masks from MasksAndMore, but it does not hurt to have more sources.

Basically what's on the shelf/inventory at the dealers is what you will get for a while. Probably a minimum of 4 weeks lead time.

I talked to the medical supplier for my fire department (huge nationwide company) and the distributors are pulling stock back from dealers to fulfill public safety backorders.

FWIW.

Stopped @HD on the way home tonight, nothing real cheap, but at least they still had some... 3M 8511-C were 10 for $18.95 ($20 and change w/tax), and since we were a little (OK, a LOT) thin at home, I grabbed a box. Will get some more tomorrow @ Grainger-told the GM of our company we need to get a couple boxes... you can also go to Grainger.com and see what they have there...

Susan, you're thinking of Tractor Supply-wouldn't be bad to look for one of those either...

Grainger is a chain that caters to industrial complexes-think factories where they need to replace some obscure electric motor on their custom machine-they'd be first call for that kind of thing. Catalog is literally 8 inches thick, we use old ones as doorstops. Doesn't really go after the retail trade, hence why most people never heard of them. They ALWAYS have masks on hand, it's an everyday sale item for them...

What my daughter had got at the med sup store was definitely not what we wanted.

I haven't got the numbers you are using figured out, but if N95 is right I think we got a valid order in today.

got this from somewhere in the forum here

For those in Canada it's called Acklands Grainger. That's were I went for my preps for the H5N1 event. They have everything you can imagine, up to P100 HEPA - 99.97%

New on the Masks and More website today

Please Note: We are currently experiencing an extremely high volume of orders. As a result, delays are guaranteed at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Orders will be processed and shipped in the order in which they are received.

I made orders on 4/26 and 4/28. I expected the 4/26 one by now. Probably be here in a day or two.

Masks and More is now out of the 3M 1860 N95s.

Also, the 3M 1870s, which is what I ordered. Wonder if I'll get any?

Also out of Gerson 1730.

Jeez, EVERYONE is out of 3M 1860, except Amazon who is selling boxes of 20 for SIXTY FREAKING DOLLARS!

A Letter from Masks N More President Tim Kawakami:

Thank you for visiting Masks N More.

The flu pandemic has resulted in an unprecedented surge in the number of email messages and telephone calls we have received during the last week. Thousands of individuals, businesses and organizations from across the US, and from other countries as well, have contacted us. Although we have tripled the number of our customer service personnel, we have not yet been able to provide timely responses via email or telephone.

Please accept our apology for this situation. Our customer service staff is working hard to handle the backlog. However, the volume of messages we have received, and are still receiving, will continue to delay our ability to respond.

Our shipping operations have been ramped up and we are processing and shipping orders as quickly as possible. Stock shortages are occurring across the country with the manufacturers of the products highest in demand. This will undoubtedly leave many merchants, including Masks N More, unable to fill all customer orders with the desired product.

We will ship all orders for which product is available in the order received. Please be assured that both we and the manufacturers are working diligently to resolve this situation and to help provide the protection needed during this global health crisis.

Sincerely,
Tim Kawakami
President

Like I said in an earlier post, distributors are pulling back any available dealer stock to satisfy public safety demand.

You won't see them for a while.

P100 half-face Respirators are still available on MANY websites however...more expensive, but much more durable.

I placed an order Saturday and another on Sunday with masksnmore and haven't seen an update - but they could be in the mail.

I decided to go half-face reusable and picked up two from Amazon for $24 each and some P100 Hepa filters from Ebay which already came in. My masksnmore order is for more filters and a sample pack of disposables to do fit tests but at this point I might not be able to get more of the best fitting disposable anyway.

Edit: The mailman just delivered my two orders placed on Saturday and Sunday on Friday 4pm to Florida. I never got a shipping confirmation and the order status on their website (link in email) is still blank. Hope that helps someone else who ordered.
