It's all good and well but we have teeth that are very typical for an omnivore diet.

I know Ter, I know. I was really jonesing for a cheeseburger the other day, but I'm sticking with my plan. My blood pressure, even after exercise, is no longer in "your arteries are going to explode" range. It's normally around 110/65 now.

Just trying to spread the gospel of good health!

Yikes! If my machine records lower than 140/80 I get three greens!

I rarely get three greens. Been on BP meds for nearly fifty years for all the good they might have done. Doc now has me on Beta blockers and resting heart rate is in low 50s. Can't get exercising heart rate to reach 80. Not sure this is a good thing.

I should have mentioned I eat 70 mills of raw shredded beetroot that has been marinaded in apple cider vinegar in my daily salad all dressed with 20 mills of virgin olive oil. Very tasty but after nearly two years no weight loss and BP follows same old range otherwise health is good and I'm doing better than some in my age range which is well over three score and ten.

I thoughts that was an 1800's expression myself

For weight loss, try losing the olive oil.
For high blood pressure, you might try two cups of hibiscus tea a day.

I read global heart statistics that Italians seem to have least heart problems and they are fond of olive oil. Since I am still in recovery from triple bypass I thought I'd give it a go. One big positive is I really enjoy my salads now.

Thanks for the link Andrea. I will never be a vegetarian by choice.

LOL I'm not vegan by choice either. Medical necessity has pushed me onto this path. Olive oil really isn't all that good for us, I can post some links if you're interested. Try replacing the olive oil with some chopped up walnuts or ground flax seed.
