Palin's facebook claim is premature. The exclusion from the Senate Finance Committe legislation doen't mean that provision won't be in the bill. Most likely the entire health care bill will be shelved till January, by which time people who are het up might have simmered down a bit.

One self proclaimed victory. She pats herself on the back quite well.

It"s a bit like George W. Bush standing on the aircraft carrier deck in a flight suit, and saying "Mission accomplished.

Dream on.

Well, this fellow sure thinks it's a win for Palin, and this one, and this one.

And how about these apples?

54% Say Passing No Healthcare Reform Better Than Passing Congressional Plan

Newly elected Democrats waver on health plan

Sen Conrad (D - ND) says he won’t support government-run health care program

Sure sounds like Palin has her finger on the pulse of the nation, to me...

But on reflection, I realized that Palin's shrewdly timed metaphor spoke directly to the electorate's unease with the prospect of shadowy, unelected government figures controlling our lives. A death panel not only has the power of life and death but is itself a symptom of a Kafkaesque brave new world where authority has become remote, arbitrary and spectral.
What is hilarious about this is the followers actually think this is worse than a private insurance company's decision process..

Frankly, though there is far more recourse to deal with an out-of-control government panel (as we see in Europe when the systems tried to cut out some benefits) than there is with private insurance. There are no "shadowy figures", there are decisionmakers who are clearly charged with NOT giving you benefits in any way possible. In a private insurance panel, your life is in the hands of people who get a bonus if they say no to your treatment, and could well be fired if they say yes to your treatment. Except when government intervenes, no one is on your side. A lose-lose for sure.

Sorry FD - with private insurance, you have the option to switch to another carrier if they are not to your liking - or you could opt out altogether...not so with Obamacare. With the single-payer Obamacare - the government can and will make irrevocable decisions about the disabled and elderly - and there will be NO recourse.

The Big lie. Someone else coined the Death Panel TAG some time back and Palin borrowed it.

She is a divisive force. She divides, and that is what she will continue to do.

I was talking to a life long Republican last nite, and her words. "That ----- woman scares me."

Seems,we all have our own ideas of who is and who isn't a "sheisskopf." I know I have my own list.

I happen to think Sarah Palin should be ignored if it were possible, but....As you can so plainly see people seem to believe the Death Panel rhetoric, like some here that I keep on ignore..

They can speak their peice, and I don't pay attention.

Sarah Palin can never be a serious presidential candidate again, even with Newt Gingrich mentoring her on how to profit from her notoriety. Karl Rove, Billy Krystol and all the rest are looking for publicity. They do realize she is a very loose cannon.

Even Octomom, has finally realized that she did something incredably stupid, and that publicity and notoriety are not what she thought it would be. A two edged sword.

Sarah will get plenty of coverage.

Who is dangerous are the bottom tier of wackos she leads around by the nose. I could post some of their threats, but I think you know what sort of rabble rousing Palin does so well. Palin has a gift for spouting distortions, with her toothy smile, that palinbots accept, as gospel. Those who sent money to Jim Baker, send their money to her Pac fund. So be it. That's their affair.

As long as the press give her space, I'll say what I think. If not here, elsewhere.

I realize I'm like pebble in the political shoe here.

While the past is past. The lesson is there to be learned by anyone who keeps their eyes open.

Let us see. August 17, an op ed page by Richard Cohen in the Washington Post. comparing Sarah Palin to Joe McCarthy.

A tribute video put out by Palin supporters with a background song by R. Kelly a convicted sex offender who likes to pee on underage girls. Personally I didn't feel like watching how Sarah goes to Dairy Queen like an ordinary mortal. She and Glenn Beck do make a nice couple.

And an offhand reference to Sarah Palin in a Hollywood Movie called "Did you Hear About the Morgans".

She is in the news.

Wow! *Absolute* proof that Palin is total scum! Palin supporters probably even use Michael Jackson soundtracks to make their vile propaganda even more child-molsterish!

the background music put out for the tribute to Sarah Palin by her fans. Considering she refered to Obama as Sambo, it seems ironic. I think it was a tribute to Mohammed Ali the great American prizefighter.

I know it is pointless, since lilly claims to have me on ignore, and only provides links under duress...if at all... but I have to challenge this:

I've not yet, not once, not ANYWHERE, seen reference to that. I'm no fan of Palin's. I think she's an airhead, a lightweight, (on her own two feet) & an opportunist. But I do not for a second believe she's stupid enough to refer to him as Sambo. Nor am I dumb enough to think press wouldn't be crawling all over that one.

The woman has enough issues including the press unfairly taking her life apart. (I said I didn't liek her, that doesn't mean I think anyone should be declaring open seasaon on her & her family). Anyway she doesn't need shit being made up.

I believe the phrase supposedly used was "So Sambo beat the bitch"

I wasn't there. I don't think it was ever denied. They are bigoted in Alaska. Pretty much like the south.

Lucille a waitress overheard Palin in an unamed restaurant in alaska. It swept the internet.

And Y'all never heard it?

Dick & Sharons LA Progressive. Charley James Posted on Friday 5th of September 2008

Alaskans speak(In a Frightened Whisper): "Palin is Racist, Sexist, Vindictive and Mean."

I guess that is a rumor.

It was all over Google. Page after page after page after page.

Google it up. Rumor? I don't know. It sounds very much like her from the things I have read.

when he vetted the story, he got a 63 page vetting report.

I'll have to read it myself when I get back from the opthamologists.

http://mudflats.files.wordpress.com/...06-vetting.pdf

A dossier that goes back to 2002

Find shows four references to "Sambo" on the url Lilly provided. The fourth is interesting:

"I am here to tell you that I have known Sarah for years as she would never, ever, use a word like "Sambo" with its' cruel connotations. A woman who did not abort and instead choose to raise a challeneged child knows in her heart not to be mean and spiteful. Never, in any of the conversations we have had, or that others have told me about, have I ever heard her utter even one slightly racial comment. I was involved with the Union movement in Jueno with Chuck Dunnagan, Atty. at Law, when I first met Sarah.

My name is Mike and I also wish to remain anonymous. Please quote me and make sure that this anonymous source gets as much exposure as "Lucille". In fact, you have this quote in writing which should make your job easier."

Yup, there is a federal lawsuit based on her disregarding something former governors did in regards to a African American celebration. I believe at some point an attempt to bribery of a third party was being presented to the court, to be tacked on the lawsuit. It is in federal court at this point.

When I get back from the opthamolgists I'll track it down. Or if I can find it will post the lawsuit.

If the bribery part sticks, it means the feds might get involved.

O.k. Here it is Palin Accused in Federal Court of Attempted Bribery.

Part of her attitude to matters of Race.

http://www.politicususa.com/en/node/7052

"Ex.governor Sarah Palin stand accused of the federal crime of attempted bribery in additon to violating the Alaskan constitution, in connection to a lawsuit previously filed Against Palin."

"Palin denied service when served on July 13, 2009 forcing plaintiffs to file affidavits of service."

"In light of the racist undertones of Palins rallies, followers and movement, the fact that the original lawsuit regards Palin's refusal to sign the Junteenth Proclamation is not exactly shocking. I mean, this is the woman recently dubbed "the poster face of racism" by Chris Mathews.

Kathleen Parker( I don't know who she is) recently noted "The GOP is fast becoming regionalized below the Mason Dixon line and increasingly associated with some of the South's worst ideas.

Oh for heaven's sake, lilly, you can't possibly consider someone with fourth grade writing skills to be a serious source of any information.

plus, your url does not work.

Yes I do.

But check it out if you like, or not. Whatever. I have an appointment at 1.15.

There is a lawsuit in Federal court, and she did refuse service, and it is possible, but I don't know exactly what the bribe was supposed to have been, that she may have tried to bribe a third party to drop the Federal Law Suit.
