Sorry I haven't posted anything. His doctor called this morning. Evidently, they are swamped with people calling to get checked out. We talked about his symptoms and the doctor is concerned that he is still coughing. He asked if we could reschedule his follow-up for Tuesday so that the antibiotics could have another day to work.

No real change in my childs' symptoms today. Very mild fever and nasty cough. He is still tired easily and sleeping more than usual with little appetite.

I'll throw another update after his appointment tomorrow.

Thanks for giving us this update, Ramius -- I'm sure you have other things on your mind right now. I hope your son is doing better soon!

In the case of a flu infection, it's probably not an issue of the anti-biotics working on anything. All you likely did with them is prevent a secondary infection.

Flu (viral pneumonia) causes it's own mucus overload, and associated coughing.

I'm glad he's not doing worse though..,

Good morning,

Thought I would throw out an update of my son and his bought with H1N1. He was checked out by the doctor yesterday and is on the road to recovery! His lung infection has cleared up and his fever is gone. His activity level is almost back to normal and his appettite has returned with a vengeance. I am so relieved to see he is getting back to his usual self!

Thank you for all of your support and kind thoughts and advice. This was a real stressful period for me and you all helped me get through it. I also thank his doctor for being proactive in his medical care.

So glad to hear he's on the mend..its amazing sometime how quickly they bounce back, but dont let him do too much, just in case he has a slight relapse.

Stressful time definately, dont forget to get some down time for you aswell.

Take care

Ramius31, that's wonderful news. I can't imagine how stressful it's been for you.

Good news!
