Arrow Granny's tip for sore throat

All the Grannies over here in Germany swear by sage tea for sore throats. You might want to have some on hand this winter. Sage is not good for pregnant women though AFAIR.

My common sage petered out last year and needs to be replaced. Should you have a need to treat a sore throat please tell me how it works for you.

Grannies I have known use vinegar as a gargle for sore throat. This has always worked very well for us even on very bad sore throats.

The initial shock is startling but soon the pain is eased. Repeated use every little while soon heals the throat. The well known antibiotic character of vinegar makes it a natural for bacterial infections.

If full strength is too much to bear, dilute it a bit with water.

Slippery elm is good too. There is an herbal tea that contains the Slippery elm - 'Throat Coat' that I use when I need to; good stuff.
